Ireland has a quantum strategy. What would domestic compute add?

Ireland’s Quantum 2030 strategy describes a national ambition across research, talent, collaboration and innovation. A domestic computing effort could add hardware engineering, skills and access to that wider ecosystem, if it is actually built and governed well.

Domestic ownership might give Irish researchers more say over scheduling, experiment design, data handling and training. It would not remove the need for classical supercomputers, international research links or commercial cloud services.
